Default Do I need MMI 3G upgrade ? My MMI s/w ver is....

Hi all, I just bought 2011 Audi A4 Prestige Edition Quattro. It is a beautiful car. I was reading on one of the other articles and it said there is a new MMI 3G+ software on 2013 models with google map support. I am wondering if I can upgrade my current MMI 3G software and Nav versions to the latest and for that matter what is the latest for MMI 3G out there for US version.

just got off the phone with my local Audi Dealer and he said that my VIN number didn't show any MMI or Nav upgrades available so the screenshot above is the latest versions of software and maps to this date.

Unfortunately, yes. The "latest" map data is woefully out of date.

I have a 2011 A4 P+ Avant. Purchased late in 2011. I had a so-called NAV update in March 2013 with the following results:
Software Version: HNav_US_P0114_D1
Nav. Database Version: 8R0060884AL NAR 5.5.6

More significantly, roads which I drove on the way home from the dealer after purchase in 2011 are still missing with the update. Audi refunded all the cost (but not my time) for the update.

Here's a thread about the saga:

Thanks Kal for that info.

I will talk to my Audi Dealer to see if Nav. Database Version: 8R0060884AL NAR 5.5.6 is applicable to my car.

You are welcome but, imho, I would not pay for it (and I didn't).

Are there any roads that you drive that do not appear on the NAV? I have one that I drive twice a week and, from the day I drove the car home from the dealer in 2011, the NAV tells me that I am off-road. The "update" is still ignorant of that road even though it has been on NavTeq maps for two years.

No i am not planning to pay for this either. I would rather wait till my next Audi Service which is in about 8 months from now to see if there is any upgrade available at that point.

Got the exact same car and Nav version is exactly the same.
There is a option in MMI says"Customer Update" and you ca update from SD Card, so where would I get that update? Does it mean we can get it online?

Not that I know of but, if you can find it, let us know.
