Default "Engine mount broke in suspension accident"

So this is whats going on. I curbed 2013 audi A4 and the body shop is saying they need to buy a whole new engine block to replace the left side engine mount because the engine mount is "unrepairable". Is this true? I searched many places and cant seem to find anybody that has an unrepairable engine mount. It seems to be just a part they can replace without putting a whole new engine block is this because its an audi?

I am not an expert here, but I would expect that if it were the mount you could swap it right out. Now if the mount broke such that it damaged the engine block, that is a possibility. Your best bet is to look yourself and get a second opinion from another shop.

The motor mount and the mount support that attaches to the block can be replaced. You need more information about the damage. Are they saying that the block has been damaged such that the motor mount support cannot be replaced??
There are three main parts here...the hydraulic mount, the engine support that the mount is attached to, and a formed sheet metal retainer plate that secures the mount to the subframe. All of these can be replaced.
