Gearbox Malfunction
2012 A4 Avant drives perfectly, shifts smoothly but continues to have "gearbox malfunction" display, even after $750 trans fluid change. If I start the car in neutral and then shift to drive, it doesn't display gearbox malfunction alert. If I start the car in park and drive away the alert comes on right away. Thus, I suspect its a sensor problem.
Indy wants $4000+ to pull trans and repair.
Please help!

did you ever get help for your issue? I have the same challenge on 2009 B8. Bought it from Japan with a gearbox malfunction error.
