My wife recently drove our 2016 A4 and locked our young kids in the car. She pulled into the garage, put the car in park, left it running and exited the car to check on how much clearance she had in front of the car. She shut the driver door holding onto the frame not the door handle. Immediately after the door locked with the key fob inside. Has anyone else
experienced this or have a solution? I find this very strange since we have a grand Cherokee that does not allow locking if the key fob is still in the car as well as a Lexus is250 that the A4 replaced.

PS....luckily my 4 year old was able to unlock his door from the inside to help us out.

anybody? I figured after 75 views someone might have an idea or possibly experienced this. Please let me know.

I've gone through similar scenarios thousands of times without ever being locked out. I'd have a dealer look into it if it happened to me.
