Default Honest support needed to buy used Audi

Good day all! I just registered to the forum as I'm trying to enter Audi's world.
As many people I was choosing between Audi vs BMW but I fell in Love with a B8 '09 3.2!

I found a great looking Audi just 2 hours from my city so I went to see it during the weekend, driving it just made me wanting it more!
Everything was great and almost closing the deal but after opening the hood and also seeing it from below, I saw some things that didn't like mechanically and as I'm not an expert on them I rather have different opinion before running in to a big issue!

Car Specs:
A4 3.2 '09 Quattro
~48K miles
Out of Warranty

Issues: 1st I hear a loud knocking coming for the head (RH). He said that the knocking is very common on the Audi and that wasn't a problem...but not sure about that as never heard another Audi 3.2 before, I took a video and uploaded it.
Video:

2nd. When checking the car underneath I found what looked like oil leak...I cleaned it and had it over 30min with engine running but couldn't see any more leaking, perhaps it was coming from above...

Oil Leak

Oil Leak

3rd. Also by checking from underneath I found what looked to be tran. fluid leak, again cleaned but didn't noticed the leak coming again in 30min...

By going thru reviews, posts, etc looks like valves gaskets its a must on this cars! so not sure if its related and also some very freaky ones talking about engine change

Today I'm having a friend that is mechanic checking on the leaks but he's not an expert on Audi's so I'd really really appreciate your support and find out in advance how much money I need to consider spend to keep the car running like a champ or if I just should stay away of it and look somewhere else!

Thank you all and Happy Monday!

I owned an '09 - it was awful. I work p/t for an Audi dealer and I was talking about the '09's today with our head mechanic - he said it was a tough year - lots of problems. The new ones are so much better that they are like apples and oranges, or, in my case, lemons.

This is a crap shoot and the important information on the car will never be disclosed. My kid has a 2009 which we bought as a 21K miles CPO car. It has just turned over 60K and it has never been back to a dealer. Other then normal wear and tear maintenance the car has been good. It has nice styling and good creature features and we found one with BT. No doubt we have been lucky with this car but then there is my personal pet peeve. It presently uses 1 quart of oil at 2700 miles which I find unacceptable. We put up with it but I don't like it. Mind you this would be considered pretty good as compared to some of the horror stories others are going through. As I mentioned before the oil usage info should be available to potential owners so they could gauge if they want to enjoy the car but add the oil. Great car but not so good engine. Roll the dice

mine was a 2.0, but other than a quart of oil every 2500-3000 miles, my engine was not the problem. the '09 cars were plagued with suspension problems and many of the parts were redesigned for the '10's and higher models. the ride on my car was terrible and the dealer could not seem to fix it. i drove a '10 A4 yesterday for work - delivered it back to a customer about 50 miles from our dealership and it drove like a dream in every respect.

Based on feedback from subscribers, Consumer Reports rates the '09 and '10 A4s as having a much worse than average repair record. The '11 and '12 models were better with an average repair record and the '13 and '14 models had a better than average repair record.
