How to enable Aux-in in 2016 A4 Avant?
Hello
I have a rental Audi A4 Avant, 2016 Business model here in Italy. I cannot enable my Aux-in. I've seen videos online how to do so with a button combination (Car +Setup), but it applies to the older Audi models. ( I have this car for another three weeks and I want to be able to play my iPod. Please help. Thanks! |
The reason for not having the Aux Input (under armrest) is usually because it was replaced by AMI (Audi Music Interface) which is specially made for iPod/iPhone. In that case the AMI connection is available in the glove box. (Maybe there is no iPod cable in the rental car.
Anyway I don't think activating the Aux input (if not available) is the solution for your rental. (First the green hidden menu has to be enabled via the OBD I/F using VCDS or similar, then the Aux cabling needs to be connected.) |
There is a Aux connector port under the arm rest, but when I plug in my device, there is now music in the car. There is not an option to select Aux input on the stereo screen, the ami.
What do I need to do? |
