Well we sold the blue 2009 A4 yesterday and now we are on the hunt for a CPO 2014-2015 A4 in Brilliant Red. Based on all of the various oil issues I think we scraped by with a car that managed 3000 miles per quart. It was a 21K CPO car with the blue tooth option which was rare. We sold it with 71K on the clock and in very good condition. The interesting thing was it never saw a dealer or independent ( except for tires) for any type of service. The only one who touched it was myself and that was for oil changes , various filters and front brakes. So the kid wants another one and we'll see if we will be as lucky with a later model. The new owner will get a pretty good car.

Thanks, I agree BR suits the A4 well. Though I have not yet seen a red B8.5 in person--just a small handful of red B8's in person (and just a few more than that online).

Well the hunt is over. Found a 2015 in Brilliant Red which was a dealer service car. It has 500 miles on it and we are having it shipped next week. Has all of the features my kid wanted so it's on it's way. Now we'll have to see what the oil issues look like on the 2015's. Ended up paying $32K

jagtoes, just curious what you got out of your 09 A4? I have almost the same 09 A4 Quattro Premium Plus with Bluetooth and 74,000 miles.

I did a quick sale to a used car dealer. Sold it for $12K and he has it on the lot for $16K. We had it on the market for 6 months and we wanted $16K which we thought was the going price. I didn't want to wait around for a buyer so we just unloaded it. Some will get a good buy for maybe $14K.
