I need help/opinions!!!
Hey guys! My name is Matteo I have a 2010 A4 Quattro 6speed manual trans. My motor **** out yesterday bent valves no compression in one of the pistons. The engine has almost 160K miles on it. Just spent 2k on new suspension and now I don’t know what to do?? Part it out? Fix it? My main question is does anyone know if a 2.0t engine from a automatic transmission can be used on my car that has a 6 speed transmission?? Thanks in advance!

I think you'll need to swap over the needle bearing and clutch plate as an engine for a ZF auto will not have the bearing and will have a different clutch plate.

(seems the needle bearing is part of or attached to the clutch plate)
If you're looking for a B8.5 motor to swap in rather than taking the gamble on another B8.0 motor, just look for a 2014-2016 CAED. They were only in manual transmission quattros I believe. The auto quattros used CPMB.
