lane assistant and side assistant
As I am to place the order soon, I am wondering how the lane assistant and side assistant satisfy folks who already got your new B8. Do the flashing lights kind of disturb your driving every time a car passes by, etc? Describing your experience would be so helpful.

Side assist only works when you turn on your blinker... And lane assist works when you go
outside your lane without turning on your blinker. The stearing wheel vibrates, but I understand you can adjust the vibration or turn it off.

If you're in the US I think there is no "Audi lane assist" option only side assist.

Lane assist is always active unless you affirmatively disengage the system.
The lights on the mirror illuminate steadily when another vehicle approaches within the radar coverage zone. If you employ your turn signal, the lights change to flash to warn you not to change lanes.
