Default List of ECU Tuners and Programmers

I was searching the web for tuning parts for the A4 and stumbled upon this page: http://www.highperformanceaudi.com/audi-a4-tuning

I thought it was pretty useful. It lists the different ECU Tuners/Programmers out there and what their claimed horsepower and torque gains are for our engine. I hadn't seen this before and wanted to pass it along for anyone thinking about an ECU Tune or Programmer that would like to see more than the usual APR or Stasis tune.

Only ones I would trust are APR, Stasis, and GIAC. I'd have a hard time trusting the others.

I would add MTM, Abt, and Oettinger to the list of highly trusted tuners. MTM and Abt are two very well respected Audi tuning companies in Germany.

Here's a second vote for 5 of those 6 tuners (no experience with MTM). I haven't found the remaining to be worthy over the years. You really are putting a lot of trust into a tuner and their ability NOT to blow up your engine and/or the various systems attached to the lump. Can't recommend enough to spend the money and go with a tuner with a track record (literally).

MTM holds the world speed record for Audi with its twin engine TT. It has 2 1.8l 4 cylinder that each make approximately 500hp. That car holds the official high speed record of 393km/h in Papenburg. That was in 2007 I believe. One of their customers recently set another speed record at the Nardo high speed track in an 2010 MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport that managed to get to a top speed of 362.5 km/h. Anyways, they are one of the preeminent Audi tuners. If you google "MTM Audi" you will probably find more awards and records than any other Audi tuner. They have been tuning Audi's for 20 years and consistently win their classes in German tuning competitions. Pretty impressive track pedigree imho.

I just wish they had more U.S. distributors. I think its just Hoppen Motorsports in Florida... This link to Hoppen Motorsports has some great info about Jo Hoppen and MTM.

There's a list of Audi A4 body kits on the same site (www.highperformanceaudi.com) which I thought is pretty useful.

The Konigseder one is pretty ugly.

I'd trust Unitronic as well.
