Locking chirp no longer sounds and lights do not flash
It’s a 2009 Audi A4 Avant Prestige that I bought about a month ago. Since I bought it I have been playing a lot of settings. In “Car” under “Central Locking” I see that it has “Acknowledge tone”. I have switched that on an off several times to get the locking chirp and light flash back but no luck. Not sure how to get it back , any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Normally, the lack of a confirmation means the car believes something is still not closed. Be it the hood, tailgate, or one of the four doors. Would normally start with scanning for DTCs to see if the car already knows something is not operating correctly.

As already noted, do a scan. See if the car already knows something is not working correctly.
If you had a Ross-Tech cable to run VCDS, you could check the status of each object and see if one was not reporting locked.
If you lock the car and move the key far away so nothing will unlock, go around and check the doors, hatch, and fuel filler door and see if one is still open.
