Lost my display - it is stuck on the MMI screen.

Lost my display - it is stuck on the MMI screen.
When I start the car I only see the MMI screen and it never goes away. Any ideas? I did add the cross over cable replacing my Sirius box in the trunk last summer.

Might depend on your equipment and model year; If a B8 with Nav, press at the same time SETUP+ENTER+UpperRight shortly and release at the same time.
(Check your handbook for Restart or Reset MMI.) It doesn't change any settings.
