Hey everyone , this is my first non gm or Ford vehicle. I picked it up cheap from a friend who was basically driving it into the ground.

It has so many issues. The most obvious is the exhaust falling off of it,cylinder 1 misfire, mmi dead , blowing cold air.... the list goes on

it pasted funny hopefully i separated them correctly.

the battery has been dead for a while. Does a simple battery swap along with a new plug and coil fix most of the issues or did the previous owner Drive it tobits grave?

If the battery was just replaced, clear the codes and see what comes up after a drive. Modern cars can do weird things when the battery goes dead. These cars are notorious for oil burning problems due to faulty pistons/rings, so don't be surprised if cyl. 1's plug is fouled with oil.

I haven't done anything with the since I made the post other than some reading. I since learned about the oil consumption issues . I thought that was most the 4 cylinder cars? This one is the 3.2 . The battery is basically no good. I'm having a difficult time if convincing myself to put any money into it.
