Default New track wheels/tires

So I've been shopping around for a decent set of wheels and tires for track days, and I finally bit the bullet and bought some 18" Enkei RPF1's wrapped with Kumho Ecsta XS. I put them on to make sure everything fit and that the tires where balanced, and I can honestly say the weight difference is noticeable. The Enkei's only weight 17.8lbs compared to the stock 19" RS4 style wheels that weigh 24.5lbs. I didn't buy them for looks because weight was my #1 concern, but I think they look pretty nice. The price was also $100 cheaper per wheel then the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT's that I was looking at went toward my new tire rack hanging on my wall. On a side note, the wall rack sold on tirerack.com was one of the best things I've bought. It looks awesome, was easy to install, and saves a ton of room in my garage.

I have my last track day of the season at Infineon on the 7th of November and I'll be able to do a better write up on them. Here are some pictures.

Nice setup! That weight savings is substantial. I may be biased but I prefer the Enkei RPF1 over the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT.

I'm headed out to Infineon tonight for AudiFest tech inpection, etc. Should be an interesting weekend with wet track tomorrow and dry track Sunday. I'm interested to see how the new Continental ContiSportContact 3's do in the wet.

I'm jealous man! Let us know how your Contact 3's do in the rain. My Pzero's are getting up there in milage and I'm looking for a decent tire for 19's but don't want all seasons. The weight savings is definitely noticeable in my test drive, I'm glad I spend a little extra on them, and the Enkei's had great reviews.

Nice weight savings. Any idea what the tire+wheel weights are now vs. the stock setup?

.

I saved about 8lbs per wheel & tire. Stock PZero's are 25lbs, The Kumho's are 26lbs
