Picked Up a 2011 A4 Today
 

After two months of waiting, my 2011 A4 finally arrived yesterday. I got a Quartz Gray/Light Gray Premium Plus with 8-speed auto, Sport Package, nav, and B&O. As much as I enjoyed my Mazda 6, there is obviously no comparison between the two cars. Since I spent part of the day detailing the interior, I haven't had much time to drive it yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a feel for it tomorrow. Here's a few pics:

Mine came with the Pirelli P7 Cinturato. I am going to be putting on Continental ExtremeContact DWS next month for the winter, so I won't have the summer tires on for long.

Nice looking car. I almost ordered that color, but I did change from the original P7 to DWS tires.

I put Conti Extreme Contact DWS on my wife's Lexus IS 250 last winter and I have to tell you I'm disappointed. The tires look good and the grip is decent, the price is a killer. The noise is the problem. I saw some reviewers mention noise, but I didn't think it would matter.
Because of the asymmetrical pattern the tires emit some odd noise especially when you are turning (even on a highway) and as the corner radius changes, the noise changes too and of course it depends on the type of pavement. The first few times I heard that I was - WTF, we got a flat tire or what?

Go with other tires is my recommendation. I have some Toyo's on my car - not stellar by the reviews but don't have this problem and I'm happy with them.

I don't notice any strange noises on my DWS tires. Must be related to the road?

I ordered my A4 with the sport package too (ETA in January'11). I asked the dealer to get me all-season tires instead of the summer ones. Will see if they can do anything about that. The exact same wheels come with all-season tires on the A5 after all.

Very Nice! I like the color. It's classy. My husband and I are getting our 2nd Audi within a week or so. Choosing the color is the only hard part!
