So I will repair it and spend a lot of time at Church. Hopefully, I will have the same experience as T Reilley. I will report back here.
Any 2.0T I come across, I always assume it's got an oil issue, unless proven wrong. Hiding a problem isn't great for your karma, but that's entirely your call.

Hi Hiker805. I am in the exact same situation, I was wondering if you had the repair done and if it is going well. Where did you get it done? I am in CA. Any insight is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Same situation as you guys, have to add a quart of oil every 500 miles. Trying to decide whether to get new pistons/rings. I have always used my local Audi mechanic and not the dealer. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay for new pistons/rings? Is it worth it ? Car is a 2011 A4 with 110,000 miles on it. I like the car, not really trying to buy something new any time soon, also not trying to pay for a new engine replacement either though.

My Audi A4 2012, has done 200,000km. Once in every month it tells me to top up 1 litre oil and continue to drive. Why? Is the engine weak?
