Rattle in low revs

Rattle in low revs
2010 A4 Sline 8 speed tiptronic. Recently the car makes a shuddering rattle noise around 1200 rpm. Garage man reckons it’s likely fly wheel but no need to fix for ages but he says it’ll cost about £1500. Could it be something else or is there a cheaper fix. That’s mental money for a part it didn’t even need

That make and model had a TSB for the transmission to be reflashed due to the low end rattled. Call up Audi and see if it was completed. Also if you have the servotronic steering option there was another TSB about how the high-pressure return hose for the power steering would cause this rattle, I currently have it present on my newly acquried 2010 avant.
