I am just wondering whether there could be a battery backup that needs replacing? My 2014 Q5 has the same problem, but it also forgets all tone control settings and volume for parking volume. Very frustrating, especially as I have 32gb SD card, so there are lots of tracks, but it goes back to the first podcast, which has a 1:30 intro to each episode!

2010 A4 Ipod Mix/Shuffle Mode
I have had no issues with Mix mode when using an SD card or a Creative Labs Zen. I recently started using an Ipod. Mix mode doesn't appear to work at all.
Any tips/tricks on settings for Ipod and/or Audi audio system to enable mix/shuffle mode?
Can the firmware on the 2010 A4 audio system be updated?
