Default Removing rear headrest

A quick search here turned up that it is possible, bit I can't figure it out. Can anyone explain? I need to remove the passenger rear headrest on my 09 Avant in order for my Britax babyseat to fit better.

Thanks,
Jay

It's a pain in the ... Push the button on the right hand side to move the head rest up and insert a small screwdriver into a slot on the outside of the left hand post and pull the headrest out. It's almost a 2 person job. I'll try to add some pics later.

I've done the rear (for a kiddy seat) as described above.

I still haven't found how the front can be removed

Thanks, that sounds clear enough, I'll give it a try this weekend.

Doubt you'll get this, but thank you anyway. I've tried a few times to get the headrests off, and now you've given me hope!!

It used to be easy on my B5, I needed to do it in order to fold the seat down because the headrest was touching the back of the front seat !

I went to the presentation of the Q3 two weeks ago and the same problem: the headrest prevents the seat to fold completely. It touches the back of the front seat and impossible to remove the headrest !

I tried to remove the headrest in my B8 and it does not come out. Will try the small screwdriver trick... Thanks !

I tried it yesterday with a small flat blade screwdriver and it is pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the tip !

The official tool provided by Audi, for use in the slot, is the mechanical key embedded inside the key fob - refer to around about Page 39 of the Owner's Manual.
