For the Senior Member POLICE/Sudden accelaration
Some weeks ago I posted a Thread regarding sudden accelaration.I,like many of you,Iam a loyal Audi owner.6 Audis thus far.A6 and A4's.
I posted that the car seemed to take off and feel like over revving.Well some how my post/thread was closed by The Audiworld Police.
Yesterday,I was reading a longterm report on the B8 A4,a 2009model.The writers of the magazine praised the car.
But as I kept reading the article,I found this paragragh,I thought it was my imagination.I was happy that I was able to get an answer on my experience. This is what they said,"But the engine did scare us early on.It would surge a few hundred rpm or so under light throttle load.We reported the problem to our dealer ,who couldn't replicate it;shortly thereafter ,Audi issued a Technical Service bulletin to reflash the ECU,and it was fixed".This article, my fellow members came out on the new Car and Driver issue for February 2011.
I hope that whomever is involved in policing threads, realizes they were wrong in deleting my concern related to our cars.
Happy boosting!
