Settings turn on upon ignition?

Settings turn on upon ignition?
Several of my settings turn on immediately when I turn on the ignition. Such as the temp controls and radio. How can I prevent the car from turning on w/previous settings? Any help would be great!

Turn them off prior to shutting off the car.
When I arrive home for the night, I turn my A/C / Heat controls off and turn the volume of my radio down before turning my car off/opening the door. I usually just turn the volume down on the radio when I'm popping out while shopping or whatever.
