Sirius Renewal
 

Got my letter for the renewal of my Sirius. Last year i got Sirius for $77/year (2nd sub). This year they want close to $100 with all the fees and such.

Anyone renewed? What rate were you able to negotiate?

You can always negotiate. Call them up and say you want to cancel if you can't get the same deal.. The $77 should come up.

The free trail on my 2010 A6 expires in September. I have called several Sirius phone numbers and told them I am cancelling unless I get the $77 reate. The cheapest offered (by about 7 or 8 reps) is $142.45 for one year and $245 for 2 years (same as in the renewal letter they sent). Not one of them would budge even after I asked for and spoke to a supervisor - any ideas?

I was able to get a subscription for $77 a year. I called 800-682-4114 to get it. Just said I wanted the $77 / year price and they gave it to me.

I called the nuber you show 800-682-4114 and it is XM - I have Sirius. What do you have? I am confused

Does that include traffic?
I had the $77 offer for the 'everything' deal which didnt include traffic

I called that number again and they repeated they are for XM only and gave me the number I had called previously for Sirius. Are you sure you have Sirius not XM?

Sorry, that was for XM, but they are one company now so it really shouldn't matter.

That's what I thought, but apparently they have different marketing functions and strategies. The phone number for XM just sends you to Sirius and Sirius says - we don't offer $77 a a year. Oh well
