Default So what are the chances the dealership will fix my sunroof deflector

The service dept. (Royal Motors SF FTL), says the TSB I gave them
2019731/1 doesn't apply to my VIN. I've got an '09 Avant. It certainly has the "Rythmic pressure wave" issue and I don't have a serrated deflector. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks to redherring for posting the info.

I'm taking the car in tomorrow morning for the power steering hose and maybe I'll try to reproduce the issue for one of the technicians.

If you have the deflector without the 'ribs' then it needs to be replaced - period.

Maybe because yours is a wagon. I got mine replaced no questions asked. Very good improvement.

Try calling Audi directly if dealership gives you trouble.

When I called for my last service, my Dealer said that they needed to do a road test before ordering the deflector so they could not replace it during that visit!

On my second visit it was replaced, but it seemed that they did not do any road test afterwards, because the new deflector would make a clunking noise everytime I would hit a bump on the road.

On my third visit, they installed rubber bumpers underneath de deflector so it does not move or make noise if it does.

It is almost silent now when I hit bumps !

Three visits to the dealer for this stupid TSB...

I brought this TSB up to my dealer during my 15K service. The answer I got is open up your windows to reduce the cabinet pressure. (The dealer is Audi Willow Grove.)
