Strange sounds coming from the driver dash?
I've had my 2009 A4 P+ for nearly a year now. I bought it brand new.
Often, right when I start driving it -- I hear a very strange sound that eminates from the far left-hand side of the driver's dash board for just a few seconds.
It's not very loud. The only way I can describe it -- is that it sounds like wire hangers clanking together. And then it stops. Very odd.
Does anyone know what this sound is?

Although it sounds like wire hangers clancking together, it almost sounds like it's generated electronically. Like synthisized chimes. I don't thisk there's anything in the vent. It does it when the A/C is turned off. I think it occures before I reach 9 mi/hr. So it does ocure before the doors automatically lock.
It doesn't do it everytime. But when it does, it's very strange. Sometimes a bit louder than other times.

I'd say it's perfectly normal since I hear the same "wire hanger clink", except that you mention it doesn't happen every time. I'm pretty sure I hear mine every time At the very least, it should be audible every time if you start off slow. Maybe under certain acceleration scenarios, the doors lock at the same exact time and drown out the sound from under the dash?

It happens right after I start the car -- and it starts rolling forward in drive.
