Talk about dumb-accident
I was pulling out of a spot at work. I had a rough past few days and I obviously had something on my mind. Instead of backing out and then turning the wheel, I turn the wheel and then backed out :roll eyes:
I scraped the car next to me with my front passenger side. UGH! It was an old Hyundai that I hit and I left a note. I hit their drivers side rear from the back door to behind the wheel. I assume I work with the person. I haven't received a phone call yet. Maybe they don't care  I will take my car in for an estimate. It's not dented that I can tell, just scraped around the corner. The light lens is scratched too. So not one of my best days, but nothing some paint can't fix. I just feel like an idiot :o |

Not the kind of stuff I'd elect to publicize on the Internet. FWIW, we all have those off days. |
pics or it didn't happen ;)

Accidents happen. Kudos to you for being honest and owning up to it, though.
I've had my car dented twice by the person parked next to me. One of the times the other car was STILL next to me and I can see clear coat dust on my panel matching his door. |

You're right, that's a multi-$1000 repair(s).

Actually that should "buff right out." A talented paintless dent repair guy can make the crease vanish. A couple hundred for a bumper refinish, and possibly a new headlight assembly, but it might buff so clean you'd never knew it was scratched.
You can also put a large bandaid on it with "OUCH" printed on it.:) |
I'd say around $3500 for parts/labor. Sh!t happens.
