Default Tire Pressure PSI ...TPMS again reading low.UPDATE!

The rear right tire has been throwing the alert read outs on the screen on the MMI.I put pressure in,(Air),up to 35.5 PSI.On the way to work today, after the car sat for a day,TPMS alert came on,took a reading this evening and it had dropped to 27 PSI.I checked the tire for any punctures and I didnt find any.---Could it be a tire stem leaking?...any thoughts.

That much of a pressure drop must be showing bubbles. If you suspect the stem, take off the cap and squirt a little windex on it and look for bubbles. The stems are pretty good though, and tire/rim damage is more likely.

You may have hit a pothole with your name on it and bruised the tire or bent the rim. For this you need to remove the wheel and imerse in a tank of water. A lot of tire shops will check it for free.

+1 have a tire shop diagnose it.

Better safe than sorry. Impossible to diagnose an issue like this over the internet...other than to agree that, yes, you have a leak.

At least the TPMS sensor seems to be doing its job.

Well, after 2 months, wondering what was going on, I finally found the culprit. It was a nail!...you couldnt even see it.It allowed the pressure to remain for three days.I would fill it up every 3 days at 35.5 ,then it would drop to 25.5 the TPMS would come on. The NAIL is so close to the wall that I have to get a New tire.Honestly,I think it could be plugged ,especially where it is.But,you lose tire integrity.
So the Dammage in $$$. The Pirelli Cinturato $380.00.Per tire,Summer Tire.If you look at the ratings for tires, they dont fair very well. The good news,Thank God, I got the wheel and tire coverage. So it wont cost me 1 cent.
I cant wait to get My Continental's DSW's.
