Unidentified black box

Unidentified black box
Hi all, recently purchased an A4 Avant 2010 and found what appears to be a non standard black box wired in the boot behind the 12v socket. Attached a picture. It's hanging loose, and has 4 wires running into it. Anyone have any idea what this might be?
