Interesting the Audi website list similar weights for the 2011 S4. The S4 engine only weights 418 lbs.

B8 S4 Stronic - Curb Weight = 3714 lbs
B8 S4 Manual - Curb Weight = 3637 lbs

Of course add a 175 lb driver & a full tank of gasoline (~ 104 lbs), gives about 279 lbs to the claimed weight.

S4 Stronic - Curb Weight with driver & full tank = 3714 lbs + 279 lbs ~ 3993 lbs
S4 Manual - Curb Weight with driver & full tank = 3637 lbs + 279 lbs ~ 3916 lbs

Several have reported that the S4 weight on Audiusa is wrong.

IIRC, the 2.0T engine is supposed to be 317 lbs.

Most of the test articles show the tested weight just under 4000 lbs, but that is with the driver and fuel added.

S4's weigh in the 3900-4000lb range. A4 2.0T 6MT's are in the 3650-3700 range, if I had to guess. I researched this at some point when I was trying to decide between the two (and looked up various road test and scale measurements of US spec cars).

The S4 3.0T & A4 2.0T engine weights are only 100 lbs difference.

The quoted weight differences are mostly dominated by test weight vs dry weight. Test weight includes fuel and the driver, plus maybe some test equipment.

Curb weight includes gas. Dry weight does not.
