What to do: Persistent grind/rub noise - Help!
So I've been having this rubbing/grinding noise on my front left whenever my suspension is put under load. It started very mild about 1-2 months of ownership. I wasn't sure it was even a problem, so I ignored it. 8 months later, it's gotten very noticeable, and I got Audi involved. It's a "grrreeeck-chunk" sound as you put load and release (ie. over a speedbump). The faster I hit the speed bump or the steeper the bump, the louder the noise.
Between the work they've done for the High Speed Vibration and this, they've looked at, taken apart and rechecked everything multiple times. This past friday, they even replaced the shock absorber. The noise is still there. I'm not sure if I should just ignore it or get it checked again.
So far:
- Lower control arm (wishbone) - part of high speed vibration
- shock absorber
- retorqued and rechecked all components
Any advice?
