Default Tire pressure warning came on

Hello!

I was driving my 2014 audi a4 down the road today and all the sudden a low tire pressure light came on(it was yellow) while I was almost home. I got home and stopped in the driveway for a second and I went to the tire pressure monitoring section and it said all tire are at the correct pressure, and then the light went off. So I got back in the car and drove around the block a couple times and it did not come back on?

Could this have been just a fluke? Something similiar happened to my fathers bmw one time with the sensor? Should I take it in?

Thanks,

did you actually put a gauge on your tires and check the pressure? otherwise.. you have not "verified" anything.

Never, this car has less than 4k miles on it driven pretty gently... I also have had a problem with a sensor already with the car so it would not impress me if it was again.

Check your tire pressures. These cars are sensor-less.

Audis have a sophisticated methodology of calculating when a tire is (has gone) going flat using the ABS sensor and some other inputs. IME, it's a slow-response system.

Please check your tire pressures against the values shown for NORMAL load in the rear of your Owner's Manual.

Unless you have a tire that is indeed problematic, you may need to do nothing more than adjust your cold tire pressures and re-store those values thru the MMI system. E-Z pea-zee!
