I know this is the A4 sub-forum but still related if someone is undecided.

Thought this might be interesting for anyone in the market for either car to see them side by side from all angles. Both of these were spec'd exactly the same (Glacier White Metallic) but I went with the Magma Red interior on the S4.

Nice shots. The S4 looks awesome the S5 is nice to don't get me wrong. But to me its something about the A4/S4 I prefer over the S5. Nice neighborhood by the way.

Thanks! I prefer the slightly subdued S4 styling as well. Looks a little more mature...both are nice though. Ultimately that's why I decided on the S4 though over the S5 Coupe or Sportback. I've always been a sucker for sports sedans as well so it helped out when I traded the S5 back.

Lovely house (in our town that... doesn't exactly have tons of lovely new houses being built, at least if your budget is under $2.5M)... is this a brand new project by Mattamy?

Thanks! It's fairly new from Mattamy (4 years old). Housing prices are crazy now. Our house and most of the houses around us are 3-4,000 sqft and start at $1.5M. Not terrible considering the size but this is also the suburbs. I feel bad for first time home buyers trying to break into the market! Sorry, totally off topic

Completely agree. All of the body lines of the 4's just make a lot more "sense". They're all crisp, and line up with other parts of the body

Agreed. And day to day livability has been so much better with the S4. The S5 was much louder in the cabin and didn't feel as solid (mostly because of the frameless side glass). And to me the ride is so much more compliant (I'm not sure if it's the increased wheel base compared to the S5 Coupe, or maybe they did some suspension changes for the 2019 MY).
