My IPOD classic 7th gen 160 GB works in my B9 A4 purchased a year ago. They have gotten pretty pricey, though, now that they're not being made any more.

Thanks for the response. It appears technology is leapfrogging iPods with Apple Car Play and WiFi music. I don't want to experience the hassle of connecting my iPhone for every drive and will likely end up purchasing a new iPod.

Since the music quality suffers using Bluetooth, it appears a new iPod may need to be purchased. Any confirmation for use of the latest iPod generations?
Interesting, someone else in this thread had said that Ipod Touch works in the A4. Has anyone successfully used a 5th or 6th generation ipod touch?

I used two different iPod Touch 6th gen in both my Q7 & A4 - worked fine. For economy sake, I'm now using two iPod Nano 7th gen.
If you're a real fanatic, the 16 GB limit of the Nano might be a problem.

I have a number of iPods but find SD cards loaded up with FLAC files to be much easier to deal with.

That and the iPods can't play back six channel content.

Thanks.... I ended up just buying a used Iphone 5 32gb off ebay just for purposes of having all my music in the car... Iphone 5s actually tended to cost less than the Ipod Touchs 5th generation, which were released previous to the Iphone 5.

I think the jukebox can accommodate only 10k songs or so. Many of us have much larger collections than that.

I believe the jukebox is 10GB. Small by today's standards.

I have my music loaded up on two 128GB SD cards and two 128GB USB sticks.

Are there any sort of playlists etc using that method? Or is it basically tens of thousands of songs just listed A-Z?

Standard .m3u playlists in the root directory of each card/stick. I believe the playlists are limited to 1,000 tracks.

You can also select by artist, song, genre... but tbh I just put it on shuffle and switch cards/sticks every week or so.
