I have a creaking noise from my month old A4 Avant s line. The noise seems to be coming from the rear luggage compartment when going over bumps, around roundabouts and when bouncing suspension. Seems to be drivers side near rear window. Have tried folding seats down and up, removed parcel shelf but no difference. Strangely had car washed today and noise disappeared, however left car afternoon and on next drive noise was back !! Booked into dealership but wondered if anyone had experience of similar or a resolution.

it does sound like an issue with the suspension bushing. A Hyundai I owned years ago had a very similar issue to what the OP has and it turned out to be the bushing.

Thanks for the replies. If it is the suspension bushes then am I ok to drive the car as it’s over a week until dealership can see the car.

I have exactly the same problem on my brand new Avant. I have removed the rear parcel shelf and dog guard. Also removed the carjack but still got the creaking/vibrating.
Have you had any luck in the stealers fixing the problem.

The dealer diagnosed a misaligned bump stop which was rectified same day under warranty. Touch wood have had no problem since.

Glad yours is sorted. I'm out for a drive with a technician tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
