A5 vs A4

I have a 2017 A4 Allroad (have had many Quattro Audis in the past) the ultra system is just as good from my experience.
I drove my allroad is deep snow and it handled it no problem. Also the Allroad has the drive select "off road" mode which is supposed to engage the Ultra Quattro system full time as you would exept in a traditional quattro.

I considered both the A5 Sportback and the A4 sedan. Two things that persuaded me to go with the A4 were: 1) The A5 Sportback has frameless hardtop-type windows. My experience over the years told me that there would be an increased likelihood that the Sportback's doors would start rattling and the nice "thud" diminishing over time. I liked the potential for a more sold feeling with the A4 over time; 2) The discounts and lease deals were better for the A4.

I'm in the same A4 vs A5 boat now. I did test drive the A4 sport and A5 SB(not long enough to make me pick one of them) but didn't find much of a difference between how the cars handled bumps and imperfections. I value comfort a lot. Any experienced people, can you please rate the suspensions on those vehicles in the order of how plush they are? Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply
The sport suspension on A4 is definitely a bit stiffer than the standard one. In my short time with the car, I didn't find a huge diff, if any at all, between the A4 sport and the A5 SB standard susp.
In my short time with it, I'd rate
1. A4
2. A4 sport
2. A5 SB(really close to A4 sport)
3. A5 SB sport
I'm in a dilemma because I like how A5 looks but I'm not sure if I'll regret buying it just for the sake of looks while sacrificing the comfort that A4 would've given?

keep in mind the wheel and tire choice will affect overall ride quality too
incentives are larger on the A4 vs the A5 SB....inventory now is less however.
Sport suspension is a bit firmer, and it sits a bit lower as well
I haven't looked up spring rates, but I bet they are awfully close from A4 to A5 sport and non
