Brake judder - New discs/pads recommendation
Hello,
I've got a standard 2.0 TDI but I do drive it rough. Now, my car vibrates depending on how hard I brake (and at lower speeds >15mph, warped discs I guess). This started just a few days ago so I'm looking to get a new brake set for the front (a single front disc is also rusted, rest of the car is free of that, thankfully).
My plan is to get either Brembo or ATE discs.
Along with either Green EBC or Padig brake pads. I looked at ATE pads but they apparantly don't have very good initial bite. Sometimes I do short journeys/city driving so I need that bite as well as the pair better for rough driving.
Any of you have experience with the greens? Suggestions would be appreciated.

How thick are the pads? Do the rotors look clean & smooth? Rotors rarely warp on a street car. Typically it’s contaminated rotors. If they look good, do a couple heavy braking runs like 60 to 20mph a few times, to heat them up & clean off whatever built up, then drive around normally for a few minutes to cool them down before stopping. The main cause of this is parking the car with hot brakes.

The pads have plenty of thickness, though the rotors are fairly worn. Probably the original ones the car came with since they're pretty rusty now.
Also, parking brakes are on the rear, so you think this judder is coming from the rear, not the front?
I'll take it on a few runs soon, thanks.

If the rotors are grooved or rusty then you need new rotors as that would definitely cause a judder and replacing them would be the only solution. If the rotors where clean that would be a completely different scenario.

I did also check the torque on the lug nuts and they were all at least 120Nm.
