Hi Audi fans sorry I am new on the sight and I registered but I forgot to be more specific, thank you cuke2u for the response, I am comfortable with the mechanics of it but what I wanted to know was if I select D for Drive or S - will the vehicle be in full automatic so that I don't have to shift gears and do I need to press the brake peddle to achieve this? I know that in order to go to manual I have to move the gear to the right/left (away from the driver).

Both D and S are shifting for you, even M does shift automatically if you reach the lower/upper RPM limits.
