It didn't fix the issue? I saw the same TSB over in the A5 forum too, people claimed it is fixed.
I will need to see today when I get home

I just submitted my fourth e-mail to Audi USA. I've owned my A4 since Aug of 2017 and the top view camera doesn't activate automatically as dictated in settings ~85% of the time. Each time I've been assured it's a known issue with a software update available by ___________ date and no update to come. One of the biggest reasons I paid the extra thousands for my vehicle was for this feature and I will not be returning to Audi if they can't figure out this very basic issue that affects 100% of the small percentage of Prestige trim level cars with this feature it sells.

A ton of folks have gotten their software upgraded to fix this issue, including myself. @Dave788 are you being told that no fix is available?

Hey All, I was unaware people were now able to solve this issue with the camera view. I just called my dealer to schedule service for a software update. No surprise, they said there is no notice or recall for my VIN; I have a 2018 Prestige with Quattro. If there is anything specific I should know or request at the appointment to help guide the dealer (and keep my sanity), I would love to hear how people have seen a successful resolution to this matter. Thanks!

I just told the service advisor to apply 2053028/1 TSB when I went in for the oil change.

Was told nothing available per my VIN and while they had heard of the issue, were unaware of any fix. I was previously assured by Audi USA that it was a known issue and I was on a list to be notified as soon as a fix was available, and I’ve heard nothing. I don’t know if the list is something they add VINs to based on complaints or if they know which cars are affected already based on VIN/MMI version. I’ll try giving them the TSB number.

I did let them know of my disappointment. This is my first Audi, and first car I’ve ever custom ordered. Why custom ordered? Because finding a brand new Prestige on the lot in the US is difficult enough as is, let alone one in a color combo I like. And I specifically wanted the Prestige for the top view camera, HUD, and adaptive cruise. So to finally take delivery after waiting 6-7 weeks from ordering only to discover within the first week that one of the key features I was looking forward to didn’t operate as intended due to a software issue was frustrating. Add to that it’s a $50k+ car, and almost a year and a half later, still no fix (for me at least.)

Mine went from 1118 to 1316 after the update. Happy to report that the overhead camera view setting has been sticking since.

Thanks. I guess I missed that update in my list at https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...rized-2898830/.

Also, this is the only documented method to get an MMI update. Too bad that this issue does not exist in early B9 (mine is from March 2016 with sw 443). I have yet to find a TSB that is applicable to my VIN and includes an MMI sw update.
