Has anyone installed a dashcam yet?

How are you routing the cable to a power source? What are you using as a power source (fuse, 12v cigarette port, USB)?

I always use A Dash Cam. I HAVE THIS ONE:

I use the 12V as a source and wrap the cable at the back of the mirror and the back the MMI tablet device.

I think the alternative would be a sizable wiring project, running it along either the driver/passenger headliner, down the door trim, and through the dash.

Have you tried mounting the camera to the back of the MMI display?

A good stereo shop can add a 12v connection at the mirror using something like this:

I installed a dash cam in my 2012 A6 here:

The power cord was long enough to tuck under the headliner, down the windshield using the supplied clips, under the passenger floor mat and to the cigarette lighter on the rear of the A6's center console.

I don't recommend putting the cord over the A pillar and tucked into the rubber door seals because it may interfere with the side curtain airbags.

Is somebody have idea how to gently open overhead panel in new A4? Is there screws? There will not me problem find +12 hot after turning ignition...
