Door Light not Working

Me too. I have it on my Premium Plus. The red lights also come on when I first start the car.

I understood that it's the red light that is facing towards the rear when the door is open. In previous Audis is was a real, read light turning on when the door is open. Now it's just a cat eye reflector.
The red strip on the inside of the door is the exit warning light.

Sorry to resurrect this.. But does anyone know if this is also the case with a 2004 A4 Avant too?
Is it Just reflectors and not bulbs? My previous 2003 A4 Avant had all doors with bulbs.
Or an electric issue?
Only just purchased car and noticed it ... Coincidentally the rear parking light error on dash is constantly on and beeping too but all bulbs work....
Thanks in advance

Audi discontinued these lights starting with the B9 A4/A5, FY Q5, and 4M Q7. From pics and screenshots, it looks like they did this in ROW markets too.
I have no idea why... these seem like an important safety measure. I'm going to send my feedback to Audi.
However, these are super easy to wire up yourself... search around... I bought a kit from someone on here...took 5 mins to install, without pulling off the door panels (completely).

Don’t know if he’s still doing them but I had these on my A4. Super easy & work great. He’s extremely reputable to deal with & fast shipping from Canada.https://www.audiworld.com/forums/par...ht-b9-2915610/

I will second that- Eric is an upstanding guy.
I, too, was also able to install the wiring kit without removing the door panels with only a small flat screwdriver and some fish tape.
He also has a B9 rear right trunk light kit as well.

He also does a really neat, bright LED replacement for the (dim) incandescent bulb in the glove box
