Default Fake Recall Notice

For the second time, I get a text from my Audi dealer my vehicle has an open recall.

I check the Audi web site, nothing shows for the VIN. No notifications from Audi via mail.

The text includes a link to schedule my "free repair." Click on the link and it says "no appointments available" 🤣

Maybe because I ignore their email and phone calls offering to upgrade me to a 2019 for 32K

The $400 for map updates was a last straw for me.

My first and last Audi, they see customers as nothing but big fat dollar signs...

First five updates are free, after that, you need to pay a dealer to do it - stupid...

Have you called them and asked? I used tape to tape down the sharp edge of the B&O speaker label that was sticking out, ready to slice my leg, but no on-line systems show that I have that recall pending.

You can download the maps on a SD card and upload them to your car for free.

You can continue to download updates via MyAudi indefinitely after the first 5 updates after you purchase the car?

Guess not. Only the first 5 updates. But who needs that? Use Google map, Apple map and Waze on Carplay or Android Auto is much more accurate.

I have yet to have to do 5 updates. I thought they’ve only had 2 updates since 2017? I think I’m just confused since I get the yearly map updates.
