First Audi Pre-Sense Experience this morning
I was driving behind a pickup truck that quickly slowed down and turned into a parking lot. The PreSense warning showed up and the alarm sounded.
It got my attention, even though I was aware of the situation!
I never felt any braking though - not sure if that's a part of PreSense.

I drive in bumper to bumper traffic every day and mine has gone off many times, but I have yet to feel it brake. It's not something I feel like testing either...

I also wonder if it will actually brake. I've had a couple close calls (and have only had the car since May... Better ease upon the aggressive driving) but the brakes have yet to activate, and I have it in the earliest warning setting.

I've had the warning go off a couple times for someone ahead of me turning right and I wasn't breaking, knowing they will complete their turn before I get too close. I imagine the only thing our car knows is that a vehicle going much slower or is decelerating ahead of us and we are approaching quickly so it warns us.
It will break if it has to, I posted this in the tech thread the other day: I unfortunately also got to "test" pre-sense and collision avoidance the other day. Someone turned left in front of me when I was traveling at 45mph (the speed limit). They slammed on their breaks when the saw me, but it stopped them 1/2 to 3/4 of the way into my lane. I had a very short distance to react. The car reacted before I even had a chance to, beeping, applying breaks, tightening the seatbelt. I immediately stomped on the breaks looked to my right mirror and saw it was clear to swerve into that lane, because I wasn't going to be able to stop before smashing into them. It also helped me to not overcorrect when avoiding the car stopped in my lane. It may have saved me from getting into an accident.

I've got 2200 miles on the car and have not gotten any warnings or felt the car do anything for me. It is hard to resist getting a little aggressive when driving this car, but so far no close calls.
