Hi, I own a 2017 A4 Prestige with LED headlights. The problem I am having is, that the illuminated light field, light output, is shaped like a huge rectangle. Very wide, illuminating 4 lanes, but very very short in distance. Driving on highways is pretty bad. I noticed the new 2018 A4 have the so called dynamic range adjustment meaning changing the beam pattern during a drive according to speeds. It is a functions all Audi's have in Germany. Starting with the wide "City-light pattern" and changing with increased speeds to the " Normal Lwo Beam" and with 60mph to the "Extended Low beam". I guess My first generation has this feature deactivated. Do you know if there is a way thru coding to change mine from inactive to active.
PS: While ago, I remember seeing postings of A6 owners complaining about their Matrix headlamps as being too dark and dealers changed them from 80 to 100% brightness.
Thank you for looking into this.
My dealership recommended buying a new 2018???

I wonder if that is the feature that is available to change using OBDeleven. I don’t have enough credits to make the change but as soon as I do, I will activate it on my 2017 A4.
Update- I just tried to change it but the app says I already have it on...so I guess it’s not the same as the dynamic range control.

Hi,
I have an Audi A4 2017 season of Audi . The only regret I’ve is not having the full Led/ or the matrix ones. I’ve been waiting for a long time now for someone to help me out with this. Please share your knowledge . It would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I have the USA spec full LED lights on my car are to be frank they aren't that amazing. Sure they are bright but the high beams only shine directly forward and when combined with the hard cut off of the low beams, it means they don't illuminate corners on twisty roads. It forces me to drive much slower at night because I can't see what's coming far enough ahead to formulate a line to follow. The Bi-xenon lights on my B8 were much better lights.
I might feel differently if I had the full matrix functions, but sadly not available in the USA
