Theres so much room to go on that car. You arent paying for HP, you are paying for the exclusivity and track performance. Honestly, even though its the same HP as the previous RS5, it has a ton more potential and will handle much better because it doesnt have the heavy V8 up front, all at the same price as before! So much more tech in this version than the previous one and nobody scoffed at the pricing before. If you think about the fact that this will start at just over 5k more than a loaded S5, its not that much of a stretch.

In term of tech, I doubt it has something much more special than S5 or S4. With ECU flash + tuning S5/S4 may reach that horsepower as well. In term of exterior, only hardcore audi fans can notice the different between A5, S5, or RS5.
I just feel to reach 70k it has to add something more than just 3.0 T engine and 450 HP. Even ford mustang with cheaper price has 5.0 engine and fyi they will have virtual cockpit as well for 2018 model. I bet they cost less than 70k. With 70k you can get Camaro ZL1 which has 650 HP and 650 lb torque which looks sportier. In term of engine sound, you can get a much more aggressive engine sound with 5.0 than 3.0.
Another german brand like MB C63s AMG have a better acceleration and engine sound as well. What is the selling point of the car then?

You can get RS3 at cheaper price with 50 HP less which is like not so significant different. In addition RS3 is lighter so overall RS3 should be faster.
