Not sure how many people are using Apple Maps with CarPlay, but for those who do or might, this is interesting.

I updated my phone to the GM seed of iOS11 yesterday, and on the way home from work noticed some improvements in the maps and navigation.




You can see in this one that it now has lane designations. Google maps has had this for a while, but it's a welcome improvement.

You can also see the speed limit sign, and a more efficient display of the ETA time, distance, and time remaining.

Nice! Any improvements to the music part (album art display) or general improvement to that part?

i use CarPlay for GPS (my GTI doesn't have factory navigation) and I'm grateful to have Apple Maps for navigation. It may not be as good as Google Maps, but it does the job pretty well for me.

Looks pretty neat. Is the "S" on the top right corner means it is pointing South?
