Less power to 'em
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I was just looking at the AoA site and noticed that 2019 A4 is now offered with two engine options, both with less horsepower (currently 252) than the 2017-18 A4s:
"The 2019 A4 is a truly moving work of art. With a standard 188-hp turbocharged engine
and available 248-hp turbocharged engine paired with quattro® all-wheel drive,
ts transportive effects are endless."
Anybody know why this is?

I wonder if it has something to do with Audi’s new vehicle naming system that uses a single number between 30 and 70 based on the car’s horsepower?
The new A4 numbers are supposed to be 40 for the base and 45 for the higher horsepower engine. The numbers will be seen on the trunk lid where we now see “2.0”.
Maybe the horsepower is calculated differently for this new naming system?
