This is all nit-picking. I LOVE my A4. Try some other brands and see how you like them.

Yes nit picking but why in the world do the buttons on the steering wheel and the garage door opener not work when the car is turned off. If you park the car and want to listen to the radio it keeps playing but you have to use the **** on the center console to adjust volume since the steering wheel buttons don't work. makes no sense. I would have no problem if they shut off when the door opened just like the radio does.

I agree this is nit picking, but these are the things that make a good car a great car!

I hope Audi is listening.

The term "nit picking" comes from a time when having lice--or measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, etc.--was fairly normal.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty glad that somebody picked all of those nits and we (with rare exception) don't have to deal with them anymore

This is an old thread, but wanted to let you know you I feel the same way. My main two triggers are the acceleration lag and the seatbelt chime. I cringe every time I hear it!

You can easily disable the seat belt chime with OBDeleven.

As noted nearly four years ago, the chime can be disabled.

The standard throttle lag is a pain, but I'm in the habit of bumping down to Sport at every stop and then bumping back to D immediately after pulling away. It's fine for me in Sport mode. And it gives me something to do after 30+ years of driving manual transmissions.

As many posts explained that the "throttle lag" is caused by the transmission confusion when drive in D. Drive in S will ease that problem. So just drive it in S all the time or do what PghRich does, pull the lever get into S right before a hard acceleration or pass. I actually getting used to it and after drove solely in S for two months, I decided I don't need the mode (such as APR etc.) for extra power. Shooted up to 110 the other day before realize it. I don't do road race with other people anyway.

I forgot all about how bad that seat belt chime was. I also disabled mine when I turned off auto stop. The ODB11 was a worthy investment. I also tuned on showing what gear I'm in which is nice.
