Major Facelift for B9?
#21
The b8 to b8.5 facelift was pretty dramatic. To some they may look similar but to us Audi owners, brand new bumpers and lights are pretty dramatic. I expect the b9 facelift to follow suite, unlike the new c300 facelift that is pretty much indistinguishable from pre-facelift.

Did they change anything in the interior? Was that when they switched from the 6 speed to the 8 speed transmission, or was that a year or two earlier?

Feel the same way, My co-worker own one and i told him the intercooler will get damage. Side note, I like to know how the 2.0 motor get the same power as my a4 on regular fuel, any one?

The EA888 family, frankly, I think have been tuned for driveability at low RPMs. The goal is to convince Joe Average that they're driving something comparable to a naturally-aspired V6. Hence, too, the lack of a boost gauge... this is not a turbo engine designed for performance. In the Accord, though, the 2.0L turbo is the upgraded sporty engine...

Well, it has the fastest 0-60 time of any car in its class with the standard engine, so it is pretty quick. But of course it's not the "full-tilt" tune.....just look at the closely-related engine in the S3, TTS, Golf R....those tunes unleash a lot more power. And of course a simple Stage 1 tune from APR unless over 300 horses and add 100 ft/lbs of torque without even trying. Clearly these engines have much more to give but then get uncomfortably close to the S-series turbo V6 motors.

The A4 engine... has never struck me as tuned for maximum power. Plenty of people have been getting 270+ HP from 2.0L "Chinese special" direct-injected turbos in the last 5 years, at least on premium gas. (If anyone doesn't understand the reference to China - Chinese law imposes some kind of big tax on engines above 2.0L, which is why all the global automakers have standardized on 2.0L turbo 4s now)

Since then, the competitors are working to position themselves to exceed the A4, i.e. Alfa Romeo Guilia.
