It would be great if new owners would post their MMI software version when they get the car as well as the build dat so that we can keep track of the date a certain version was released.
For the software version go to MMI Settings/left button/System Maintenance/Version Information, for the build date look on sticker at driver's door.

So after all this I figured out you just click on the area and then go to adaptations to change stuff. Doh!
One thing I haven’t found is how to set my default parking camera view to the top view. Anyone here accomplish that?

snagitseven did an excellent job in summarizing all the options of the 3rd gen MMI (3G and 3G+) at https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...rized-2840907/. As it turns out, nothing written there is applicable to the next generation MMI introduced in the MY 2017 Q7 and A4. So I thought it would be a good time to start this in the A4 B9 forum. I will update this posting as new information becomes available. If you see something that's incorrect or missing, please let me know and I'll update this post. In advance I would like to thank everybody for posting their findings, comments or feedback.
The 2017 A4 and Q7 are based on the MLBevo platform (Modularer Längsbaukasten / Modular Longitular Toolkit - 2nd generation). As such they also include the MIB2 (Modularer Infotainment Baukasten / Modular Infotainment Toolkit, version 2), the next generation of the MMI and successor of the MMI 3G+ and MIB (1st gen)
I will try to summarize the information posted here and elsewhere in this topic. Unless otherwise mentioned this will be applicable to the US version of the MIB only since there are major differences between the regions and sometimes even between neighboring countries.
The main differences introduced with the MIB2 MMI are the following:
- no more AMI cables, everything is USB based now
- new User Interface
- Audi Connect is now a subscription service which requires an active subscription/license to use Google Earth/Search, Traffic, etc.
- In-car WiFi hotspot and Audi Connect are no longer using the same data plan
- Apple Carplay and Android Auto is standard in the US at any trim level
Reset MMI:
Press NAV/MAP and RADIO, then push MMI button
Engineering Mode:
Press and hold NAV/MAP and MEDIA, to exit restart the MMI
MIB2 software versions (from MMI Settings/left button/System Maintenance/Version Information, build date can be found on sticker at driver's door):
0337, 12/2015
0443, 03/2016
0692, 05/2016
0918, 12/2016
1118, 06/2017
Navigation database versions:
V03959801GD 0044 NAR 2015/2016
V03959801GE 0048 NAR 2016 (from 03/2016)

The MMI software version is not on a sticker, you view it via Settings/left button/System Maintenance/Version Information on the MMI.

Thank You for your reply. I misunderstood your post. I know the software version can be found ibn the MMI but thought you were saying the build date (for the software) was also on a sticker on the door. Obviously you meant the build date for the vehicle.

I changed the brackets to make it more clear, now it reads:
MIB2 software versions (from MMI Settings/left button/System Maintenance/Version Information), build date can be found on sticker at driver's door:
