MMI Icons

I tried looking for info on these and I'm sure this info is available somewhere, but I have two icons on the lower black bar (Front end of car with bar underneath on the left side and flag with bulb on the right side) on my 2018 A4's MMI screen that I would like to know what they mean. Anyone know?

From Audi's Icon Library, the flag is recommended destination. Does it show up when you program in a destination? The bar likely shows some type of progress - progress % to destination, in miles or time?

Thanks - that makes sense. It seems to be there all of the time, but it might be a function of my house and work are within 5 minutes of each other and I obviously go back and forth between them a lot..

I get the front end car with progress bar icon when I’ve initiated an MMI OTA map update and that’s the only time.

The car with the bar is showing you that your MMI is updating. It's probably stuck trying to do an over the air update, which is why you aren't seeing it go away. You need to go into your MMI (under map updates) and cancel the update and it will go away.

The checkered flag is another related to your map options. You need to unclick "show recommended destinations" and it will go away.
