I'm buying Audi A4 B9 2017 fitted with MMI Radio Plus system, since this would be my first Audi, would need to know if this system supports Apple Car Play or Android Auto?

The 2017 A4 (B9) comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

I believe that was market dependent, so it depends from which country the car origins. It might need "Audi smartphone interface" as an extra option.

Not on all models. But you can retrofit later by going to the dealer and they can activate it for you (if you only have 1 usb plug in the cenbter console they have to install a dual usb plug)
